• National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia received A status based on accreditation from ICC SCA for the 3rd time

The Commission’s working group carried out “Human rights open day campaign” in Uvs and Khuvsgul provinces

The Commission’s working group headed by Commissioner Ganbayar Nanzad organized the human rights day campaign in Uvs province on 1, 2 October 2018. Within the framework of the campaign, the working group had meetings with the Governor of Uvs province, Head of the Citizens Representatives Meeting, Head of the Governor’s Office and law enforcement authorities to exchange information about human rights situation in local areas. In addition, they organized a series of human rights training for the total of 120 public servants including state administration, public service and law enforcement agencies. Asides that, the working group had a meeting with civil society, and received complaints from the local community and provided them with legal advices for free of charge. They also conducted inquiries into some public bodies including the general hospital and emergency response office to monitor the quality and accessibility of health services and implementation of the labour rights of emergency response officers. Following the event in Uvs province, the working group travelled to Khuvsgul and held the same event on 4, 5 October 2018.
