• National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia received A status based on accreditation from ICC SCA for the 3rd time

Following the Demand of the NHRCM, provision on “Suppression of all forms of harassment in the workplace” has been added to the internal regulations

Ch.Chimid, governor of Uvs aimag, has responded to the request of the member of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia. The NHRCM has delivered a demand to the governor of Uvs Aimag to suppress the human rights violations based on the investigation conducted as a result of the complaint received by the NHRCM that the management of the Oirat Musical Theater abuses and oppresses their employees.

The governor replied that following the demand a working group to monitor the activities of the Oirat Theater has been established and presented their conclusions. At present, a financial and auditing inspections are being carried out.

In addition, on 24 March 2021, the theater's internal labor regulations were amended adding the provision stating “to stop all forms of illegal harassment and discrimination in the workplace, and to state and apply a punishment in the organization's internal regulations for officials who commit such acts and to take measures to create a positive and stress-free work environment.”

In the official letter, the governor of Uvs aimag mentioned its plan to conduct an online training course regarding the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace.
