NHRCM team headed by Chief Commissioner Byambadorj Jamsran organized "Human rights campaign” event in Govi-Altai province.
During the event "Human rights based approach in public service” training is conducted among public servants, and "Ensuring the rights of participants of criminal procedures” training was conducted among officials of law enforcement organisations such as judiciary, prosecution, court decision enforcement, marshal service, and police.
Within the scope of the campaign event, NHRCM team had meetings with representatives of local government, civil society, and local community, exchanged information, conducted inquiries, received complaints from individuals, provided legal counseling and awareness raising service for local community.
In detail, the team conducted inquiries in the Provincial Court Decision Enforcement Office, drunk tank, and pre-trial detention facility and made analysis in decrees, resolutions, and other decisions released by the Governor and Citizens’ Representatives’ Council.
Commissioner’s demands and recommendations are to be delivered to relevant authorities in order to remove the faults which were revealed and which could violate human rights as revealed.
