“Human rights” training module to be renewed

Acting Chief Commissioner Khunan Jargalsaikhan, Commissioner Narantuya Ganbat and Director of the Secretariat Altangerel Choijoo held meeting with the principals of the Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Universities and Schools of Law and exchanged views on renewing human rights curriculum on 6 April 2021.

Parties discussed to cooperate on making “human rights” subject curriculum compulsory and improving handbooks and programme contents.

The NHRCM is mandated to disseminate human rights education by law. In this framework, the Commission provides human rights trainings for public and targeted groups, conduct training sessions for Human rights trainers permanently.

The NHRCM submitted its status report on human rights and freedoms on the matter of policy, implementation and challenges of Human rights education in 2007, 2008, 2015 and 2018 respectively to the State Great Khural.
