The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia (NHRCM) in collaboration with the Open Society Forum is organizing the public lecture on human rights for the third year.
The public lecture titled “Interpreting the provisions on human rights” will take place in the Conference room of the 11th Government Building at 15.00 on 19 June 2015. The lecturer will be Munkhsaikhan Odonkhuu, Doctor of Law, associate professor, and instructor at the National University of Mongolia’s law school.
Constitutions and international agreements protecting human rights are meant for the long term. Thus, controversial questions such as how to interpret the human rights norms and standards in brand new situations? Is it possible a conflict previously not considered human rights violation to be considered as one today? And how to interpret and implement human rights? will be discussed based on legal theories and both constitutional and international legal examples.
Should you wish to attend the lecture, please register at 7000 0444.
