• National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia received A status based on accreditation from ICC SCA for the 3rd time

The NHRCM holds meeting with Ms. Jana Zilkovan, Country Representative of Caritas Czech Republic in Mongolia

Acting Chief Commissioner Khunan Jargalsaikhan held meeting with Ms. Jana Zilkovan, Country Representative and L.Delgermaa, Project Manager of the Caritas Czech Republic NGO in Mongolia on 23 March 2021.

Caritas Czech Republic launched its first project in Mongolia in 2006 and opened its country’s mission in 2007 as a response to the growing support of the Czech development cooperation. Parties have conducted human rights trainings in prisons previously.

“New Commissioners of the NHRCM were appointed by the Parliament in November, 2020. The NHRCM is currently monitoring the implementation of the Law on Coronavirus (Covid-19) Prevention, Fight, and Mitigation of its socio-economic impact and has begun working on a number of activities to expand its multilateral cooperation to make it more accessible and effective within its short and long-term strategic plans, and is open to cooperate in the field of human rights,” stated Commissioner Khunan Jargalsaikhan.

He then expressed the willingness to support “All for YOUth, YOUth for all” project that Caritas Czech Republic is implementing through local representatives of the Commission in 21 aimags.

The NHRCM proposed to cooperate in e-library of human rights and development of contents on online bullying and discrimination for children and youth. The Caritas Czech Republic NGO introduced its projects to the NHRCM: “Sustainable Plastic Recycling in Mongolia” and “All for YOUth, YOUth for all”.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged information and agreed to cooperate within the framework of the ““All for YOUth, YOUth for all” project.
