Recommendation delivered for preventive measures of COVID-19

Commissioner Enkhbold Batzeveg and Head of Complaints and Inquiry Division Ikhtamir Togookhuu attended online meeting organized by the General Executive Agency for Court Decisions on 28 January 2021.

Enkhbold Batzeveg provided information on Revised Law on National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, its concept, complaints, and their handling related to General Executive Agency for Court Decisions, and cooperation between the two organizations.

He then asked to protect human rights while conducting court decision enforcement activities, particularly, to take preventive measures to stop spreading of the infection during the COVID-19 pandemic in prisons and detention centers for purposes of avoiding human rights violation.

The NHRCM issued recommendation on preventative measures of COVID-19 following inquiries conducted in 21 prisons and institutions under the General Executive Agency for Court Decisions in April, May, and November 2020.

In addition, Commissioner urged to protect human rights, to be humane in any circumstance, and undertake activities aligned with principles of human rights.
