Youth and student group for human rights established

Chief Commissioner Byambadorj Jamsran received Ms. Mary Shuttleworth, president of the “Youth for Human Rights” International NGO on 2 May 2014 at the NHRCM and exchanged views on mutual cooperation.

"Youth for Human RIghts” International NGO is a non-profit organization that aims to provide support for teenagers and youth in growing into human rights activists by giving them human rights education. It develops and publishes human rights education materials in audio, video, and printed formats and in series and disseminates them.

The organization is now translating and preparing the human rights education materials in Mongolian and going to publish them. Based on those education materials it is now planned to give human rights education subject in 20 full secondary schools in UB in 2014-015 academic year. Within the scope of this work NHRCM has established youth and students group for human rights in order to prepare huam rights activists and trainers who can carry out human rights training and advocacy activities.
